I’ve flown home for a few events over the last couple of months.  All of these events have had after-(house)-parties.  Carpet and I tried to pull together a few DJ sets for these parties, but quickly realized that none of them were working… the tastes of those in attendance were too diverse. (Note: this isn’t a bad thing)

We later found a common ground for everyone with old-ish R&B.  Without fail, that stuff got hips moving, people singing along, etc.  This set is a result of that.  30 minutes of 90’s/early 00’s R&B mixed with a bit of hip hop (for my sanity).

I’ve been meaning to post this for a few weeks and it might have been more timely to have done this before the Sun Run… but, oh well.

I made this set for myself to run and/or crossfit to.  A straight forward, half hour, uptempo blast.  Starts off with minimal vocals and then builds through out.

I should point out that despite this being a workout mix it sounds just as great while sitting on a couch drinking a beer, or waiting for a bus while eating a doughnut.
