Enabling binge drinking though the power of crowdsourcing!
Hello, Internet. You may recall that a few weeks ago I tried to pull together an impromptu Centurion. It failed miserably, because it turns out when you make plans for drinking competition at 2 in the morning on a Saturday, no one really wants to do that at 2pm on Sunday.
Luckily, Dave’s stag is coming up next week… and Dave is pro-Centurion (but not a Centurion pro… big difference). Anyways, I’m pulling together the 100 songs which we’ll listen to for 100 minutes. To do this I need to edit 100 songs down to 50 second clips and then insert 10 seconds of silence (totaling 1 minute). I will them merge these clips into one big mp3 (totaling 100 minutes).
Is there some sort of program/app that can batch edit these mp3’s for me? Or at least batch edit the songs down to 1 minute clips (I’ve got a plan for making the 100 minute file)? I know you can do some tweaking right in iTunes but I don’t like editing in iTunes for fear of mucking up my library. I know that you can run command line scripts but I don’t speak that level of geek.
Can you help? Get in touch (vanmega [at] gmail) or using the fancy question answer thingy in tumblr. If you can help me out I’ll let you add a couple of songs to the play list. Yay?
