Movie Review: Totally Awesome (2006) After seeing a clip of Tracy Morgan in this movie on robotsindiguise’s blog, I downloaded the full movie.  While the torrent was coming in, I read a few reviews of the film.  They all, without any hesitation, said this movie was awful.  You know what… fuck those guys! This movie is funny.  Really funny. It’s a low budget parody of 80’s movies, and yeah, there have been other attempts at this idea before.  But this one works because it’s completely over the top and completely self-aware.  My guess is that the people arguing that this movie is dumb didn’t grow up with the source material… or consider Dane Cook as the definitive benchmark for humor. Also, the movie was filmed in Vancouver… so, 600 bonus points for that.
