Not to get all day jobby on you guys, but… Bwahahahahahahahah, Sawiris is purposefully acting like he has no business training whatsoever in this article.  Straw man argument stacked on straw man argument spewed from the mouth of a foreign billionaire trying to act like a common Canadian.

Sadly, for the first time in Internet history, an anonymous commenter at the bottom of the article actually sums up the situation correctly:

Rates will always be higher in Canada, it is simple economics. Larger Country = larger network, which means more money needed to keep the lights on. Low population that is spread out over miles and miles = higher costs to provide service to as many people as possible.
