Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow (rob vanmega’s Boom Boom Barf edit) [mp3]

So I guess this song is reaching perfect storm status: it’s everywhere, it’s awful, and it’s been stuck in my head for the last week.  Gross.

I’ve downloaded and listened to the original version of this song a few times with hopes that it would no longer be stuck in my head.  No such luck. So I tried to figure out a way to remix the song to make listening tolerable.  Basically, I put lipstick on a pig by putting loops from good songs under the track.  Every 8 bars the beat switches between Dirty Vegas, Daft Punk, Mr Oizo, Bel Biv Devoe, Lionel Richie, Justice, Sir Mixx-A-Lot, Dj Sneak, 20 Fingers, and the mother fugging Venga Bus.

I’m not saying this makes things better or that I’m proud of this edit.  I just figured I’d post it so people can play along at home.
