A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION WHICH I NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE WITH:
Does anyone know where I could buy one of those white lion statues seen on every single Vancouver Special ever? I’d really love to take one with me when I move and I’d really love to not get a criminal charge because I tried to pry one off a gate.
I’m not even sure what the proper name is for these statues, so googling, etc isn’t very helpful.
Is this something you’d get in Chinatown? Is this something a building company would have? Or are these things so old and ugly that they’ve been purposefully wiped from the face of the earth.
Either way, I wanna take one of these guys with me. Any ideas?
Update: found.

Drive North up Hastings, past the Safeway at Kensington market. right before the road forks left to Port Moody or continues straight up to Port Mordor- er, um, SFU- on your right is a big ass garden statue centre. I bet my left nut they have them.

They’re Florentine lions! The symbolic protector of the city of Florence, Italy :) You could try a garden shop or one of those places that sell concrete statues. Since they are Italian in origin, Commerical Dr?
