Reporting that a facebook group has been created which is in support of, or against, a random issue de jour is NOT news worthy. This is no better than reporting on a forwarded chain email that might end up in your inbox. A descriptive statistic telling me the number of people who have joined a facebook group coupled with a cut+pasted member comment is lazy and doesn’t provide value.
